The reason why I had an interest in the world of tourism started when I was in college and lived in Bogor, West Java-East Jakarta. The owner worked while studying and had a hobby of adventure, joining a nature lovers group which started in 2001. During that time he also began to get to know and develop himself in field activities such as mountaineering, caving, rock climbing, camping and natural exploration activities. And has been a volunteer to support activities in the environmental sector.

When starting a new life in the city of Palangka Raya and starting in 2012 the owner decided to apply the knowledge and experience gained in the world of wild adventure to become a tour guide. The scope of tourist guiding begins on tourist boats, guiding tourist activities around the city of Palangka Raya. In 2013 he attended basic tour guide training carried out by the Palangka Raya City Tourism Office.

In 2015, to ensure that he could have legal status as a tour guide, the owner underwent a tour guide competency certification for the ecotourism sector, followed by a tour guide competency certification for the city tour sector. In that year the owner also started to guide foreign tourists considering that foreign tourists visiting Palangka Raya and Central Kalimantan had quite potential.

The guiding activities that have been carried out are tourist activities to inland areas, the middle and downstream parts of the river where each guest’s requests are very diverse.
Meanwhile, the potential tourist market to enter Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan is 80% backpacker tourists and the rest are travelers and special interests.

Explore Homeland Borneo is a tourism service that designs tour programs that are characterized by exploration and adventure. Guests are instructed on how to learn and get to know the potential of nature, culture, local wisdom and anything in it on the island of Kalimantan, especially Borneo (Kalimantan). providing an authentic, unique and interesting experience to every traveler.

Explore Homeland Borneo With the symbol of an eagle with the name Lahin Bayan which means Lamiang Batang Danum Jalayan. Which symbolizes the 5 typical Dayak color elements in it plus a blue circle as a binder of the universe that houses all life on this earth. It is the spirit of exploring unlimited space and time so that we as humans can realize that nature and everything in it is a blessing of life that we must always protect and be grateful for. and through this programmed tourism activity, it is hoped that it can provide employment opportunities for local communities and take responsibility for preserving nature and the surrounding environment.

Apart from being a tour guide, the owner also works as an educator in the tourism sector, a tourist village consultant, marketing creative economy products and land transportation rental services.
